representative of India at Miss World is going digital or virtual due to the on-going scare of the covid19 in
the country. Not only the format of the pageant is changing but also the organization has decided to reduce
the height criteria of the divas applying for the beauty pageant. It has been reduced down to 5’3’’ or 160 cm
without heels for the competition as they feel that height shouldn’t be a barrier in the way of someone’s
dreams.
Just before Miss India Contest went virtual, RIGAHAUS announced Crown Dreamers Hunt to short List
contestants to go through very personal custom designed Pageant Preparation Training program for Miss
India.

Rita reveals that in her early years she was extremely self-conscious of her short stature and did not believe that she was capable of achieving anything grand. It was one of her teachers, who encouraged her to discover her innate value and potential, and not be swayed by those who wrote her off as being short and incapable. This proved to be the catalyst for Rita to appear for the Army Medical Board competitive exams, which she cleared with flying colors. She joined the MNS Corps of the Indian Army in 1977, stood first in the All India Merit list and was awarded the President’s Medal along with the Air Force Station (Bangalore) trophy as best cadet. Rita shares, “I was one of the first lady officers from Himachal Pradesh in the MNS Corps. Once I wore my uniform the same people who used to laugh at me, saluted me and I found my value.
In the forces, there was a special subject taught to the officers- OLQ (Officers like Qualities), and this particular module inspired her to polish the common man the forces way. To tweak this subject to fit one and all, she took a crash course from a Swiss Indian Finishing school in Personality and Charm enhancement after retirement and is now doing People Packaging as a profession. Rita has made it her mission to spread her story in hope of inspiring others to make the most of each day they are given. “Why waste your time harping on insignificant things?” Rita asks. “Believe in defining your life by the positive moments and not the negative.
As a petite dynamo, She has proven that “Good things do come in small packages,” and believes that the stronger you become mentally, the better you can handle situations in all areas of your life. She has the tools and techniques to get you there.
Rita serves a Mentor and Spiritual guide to her young students around the world.
